Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I pay in advance for a program?

Our administration staff are working hard to answer wildlife emergency calls and admit new patients every day. By paying in advance through our automated system, you are allowing our administrative staff to focus on getting wildlife in distress into our care.

Do I need a PayPal account to pay in advance?

No! When prompted by PayPal, you can check out as a 'guest' and simply use a credit card to pay.

What am I paying for?

You are paying for an educator's time to prepare and deliver the program. For in-person programs, the cost includes travel time. As a charity, these program fees are critical to continuing the education program.

How do I complete my booking after paying with credit card/PayPal?

After making the payment through the PayPal portal, you will be directed back to the booking page. You must click the 'Schedule Event' button at the bottom of the page to secure your presentation time.

What participants are saying

"Our group has been engaging in adult educational tours with Sandy Pines for a few years now, and we are always amazed at and inspired by all of the incredible work that the team does for local wildlife. We have learned so much about how to have empathy and compassion for wildlife and how to support this work through volunteering, education, fundraising, and other initiatives."
Environment training coordinator
Live Virtual Tour
"Thank you so much for a wonderful presentation and virtual tour of Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre. The tour of the hospital provided us with a behind-the-scenes peek of the work done at Sandy Pines. The knowledge and skill of the staff and volunteers, as well as their compassion and concern towards the animals was evident. I would highly recommend this presentation for other groups looking for a speaker. Well done Sandy Pines!"

Live Virtual Tour
"Even a short encounter such as this online session by SPWC's Education Coordinator is enough to inspire people to take action and spread the word to do what one can to care for the earth and all its living creatures more fully."
Program participant
Virtual Presentation
"I enjoyed the "from rescue to release" focus. It was nice to learn that SPWC is a specialist in some of its animal care, e.g., other rehabs send their raptors to SPWC because of the opportunity for more specialized pre-release therapy."
Program participant
Virtual Presentation
"Insightful presentation explaining a wonderful resource to the community. We are so lucky to have it in our area. Much applause to the staff and volunteers."
